"Nature is a language, can't you read?" - The Smiths, Ask
2014 is off to a pretty remarkable start.
Work hard, and ask for things. This is the lesson thus far. The universe is not short of pocket change, and actually wants to give us the tools we need to move forward on our respective paths. If we can learn to let go of the things that are holding us down and replace them with progress, lightening our load and allowing room for more free movement, generally we discover that way way down at the bottom of our bag is that super handy multi-purpose pocket knife that we forgot we had, using a plethora of other heavier items to do what could have been done a lot easier.
I've always felt very guilty about progress. This isn't all that uncommon, and I find more and more that there are tons of people who have brilliant ideas and are wildly creative, but for whatever reason are unwilling to bring that higher self to the surface. That "Big S" Self. Mine is still transitioning, but I can feel the shift taking place. Something good is shaping itself, and I'm really stoked to see what it becomes. Life as a human is a real treat. Being a creation and creator at the same time is probably one of the most humbling realizations.
So anyway, I want to encourage everyone to get out there, and be unafraid to ask. Some call it prayer, some call it communion, meditation, whatever. Make it happen. Be open to anything. Sometimes we beg for a sweater to cover up with, and get so frustrated with what we don't have that the reality of our situation, the lesson needed, is lost. Maybe it's time to get some sun, or maybe it's time to learn to knit. Who knows. Be open, receive, and enjoy.
