I saw this quote and realized that 2013, chaotic though it was, seemed to be a blessing. Reality hits hard at times, and after completing my first year in Los Angeles, I've been taking a few knocks. But turns out I'm naturally a pretty decent fighter! More like the martial arts kind, not just freaking out due to anger-management issues (though that probably happened a few times this year too). Growing this way is very much a "grasshopper + sansei" situation.
The great goal I have for 2014 is to no longer have the sensation of dodging bullets and scraping by. I want to make friends with my life. I'm ready to thrive, and am willing to work for it. You know how it's said that it takes many more muscles to frown than it does to smile? It's a bit like that. I'd rather work for a celebration of a life than struggle for anything less.
I remember hearing once that when out of alignment with your sacred path, the universe will conspire to treat you as a foe. This is just another way of saying "tough love." It's the same thing that happens when you attain a virus. Homeostasis is thrown off course, and the immune system does all it can to put things back together and gain clarity again. Now is a powerful time to acquire a personal sense of calibration. Today, the first day of 2014, brings with it a new moon which will also be a supermoon! Imagine, the moon, earth, and sun in a perfect line. Masculine and feminine energies are suddenly at peace with the planet. Try to find balance today, in whatever way feels challenging and enjoyable.
Hello, and happy beginnings.
